Hi, I’m Eric, and I am the CTO here at Forecastr. I’ve spent the last 20 years navigating the fast-paced world of software engineering, IT, and information systems, almost exclusively within early-stage startups. Over the years, I’ve found my sweet spot acting as a founding technologist—taking raw ideas and shaping them into functional, real-world tools.
While I love that early building phase, I'm equally energized by the challenge of scaling those foundations, helping an organization grow, mature, and thrive over the long haul. For me, the true reward of engineering is the magic of creating tangible things that other people genuinely find valuable.
I grew up on the Central Coast of California, and I like to think that relaxed, coastal energy still influences how I work today. I care deeply about building a collaborative, ego-free environment, and honestly, I just get excited about what all the brilliant people around me can do when given a challenging problem and the motivation to solve it.
My path to technology wasn't entirely traditional; I actually studied English in college, so I still have a deep appreciation for a good book and a well-told story. Outside of work, my time is focused on family. I love hanging out with my wife, Brooke, and our son, Callan. We also share our home with two Miniature Australian Shepherds who excel at finding new and creative ways to get into trouble.
